PRIVACY
Your tracker belongs to you.
This is a fan-made public reference site for the complete Rewatchables archive. An account is optional and is used only to save your personal movie and podcast progress.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your verified email address, display name, profile image, and a stable Google account identifier. We store the tracker choices you make: movies seen, episodes listened to, watchlist items, Listen Later items, and Rewatch Favs upvotes.
Community voting
Each Rewatch Favs upvote is stored with your account so one person cannot vote for the same episode more than once. The public leaderboard shows only aggregate vote totals. Your identity, email address, and individual ballot are not shown to other visitors. You may remove any vote at any time.
Spotify history import
If you choose a Spotify history ZIP or JSON file, the file is read locally in your browser and is not uploaded to Rewatch Index. Your browser discards unrelated shows and personal history fields. Only the stable Rewatchables episode identifiers matched as completed are sent to our server and saved as “heard” in your tracker.
Spotify connection
If you choose to connect Spotify, we store your Spotify account identifier, display name, granted permissions, encrypted access credentials, connection timestamps, and the identifier of the private Rewatchables playlist created for you. During a sync, Spotify supplies playback positions and completion flags for Rewatchables episodes; we use completed episodes to update your tracker. We do not receive a complete listening timeline or play counts.
How we use it
We use account information only to authenticate you, synchronize your tracker, record votes you choose to cast, and perform Spotify actions you request. We do not post to Google, access contacts or files, sell personal data, or use tracker choices for advertising. Spotify playlist changes happen only when you choose to add an episode.
Analytics and movie data
Google Analytics measures aggregate site usage. TMDB supplies public movie metadata and imagery; movie lookups do not include your identity or tracker status. If you request a movie watch path, OpenAI receives only the selected public movie title and release year to generate recommendations. No account or tracker data is included.
Storage, disconnection, and deletion
Sessions are stored securely using hashed tokens and expire automatically. Spotify access credentials are encrypted at rest. Disconnecting Spotify removes the stored connection and credentials but keeps listening progress already imported into your tracker. To request deletion of your account, tracker, and voting data, email michaelrode44@gmail.com.
Third parties
Authentication is provided by Google, optional listening and playlist features by Spotify, hosting and database services by Cloudflare, analytics by Google Analytics, movie information by TMDB, and optional watch-path recommendations by OpenAI. Their respective privacy policies apply to those services.
